[Abstract] In our country there are many people who suffer some type of disability. That is
why the legislation must be adapted to the social reality with the intention of getting the
best possible integration of this group.
The main object of this study is to analyze some of the legislative regulations that
treat to favor to the disabled and dependent people.
In addition, we make an special support in the article 831 of the Civil Code,
which has been again modified due to the Law 41/2003, of November the 18th, about the
patrimonial protection of the disabled people. With this rule it is intended that one of
the parents, using his/her testament, delegates in the other one the power to improve to
the son who results more defenseless as a result of, for instance, suffering a disability.
