O Dicionário Sotelo Blanco da Língua Galega (1995): uma aproximação crítica

Abstract

[Resumo]: Neste trabalho pretende-se mostrar em que medida o Dicionário Sotelo Blanco da Língua Galega (Estraviz, 1995) oferece informação que permita a codificação na língua-alvo da descrição lexicográfica, sem considerar se se trata de utilizadores do dicionário que têm o galego como língua materna, língua estrangeira ou língua segunda. Relativamente a estes fundamentos linguísticos, apresentar-se-á uma linha de trabalho claramente delimitada no enquadramento teórico do presente estudo. Pretende-se, para alcançar o objetivo acima referido, analisar a informação fornecida no dicionário de um ponto de vista quantitativo e qualitativo, de modo a poder retirar conclusões objetivas. As conclusões desta análise prendem-se principalmente com o facto de o Sotelo Blanco poder auxiliar a função codificadora em língua galega, uma vez que apresenta de forma relativamente constante informações sobre a combinatória lexical ou exemplos de uso.

[Abstract]: In this work we aim to show to what extent the dictionary Sotelo Blanco of the Galician language (Estraviz, 1995) provides information that facilitates the codification in the target language of the lexicographical description. This will be analysed without considering whether the users of the dictionary have Galician as their mother tongue or as a foreign/second language. With regard to this linguistic background, a clearly delimited research approach will be presented in the theoretical framework of this report. In order to achieve this aim, we intend to analyse the information provided in the dictionary from a quantitative and qualitative point of view, which will then allow us to draw objective conclusions. The conclusions of this analysis highlight that Sotelo Blanco can help with the codifying function, since it frequently provides information on lexical combination or examples of usage
