Proyectos eTwinning y competencia digital docente: "Euroheroes of our time" (Escola Oficial de Idiomas da Coruña)

Abstract

[Abstract] This article explores the impact of eTwinning in the development of teachers’ digital competence in Official Schools of Languages through the project "Euroheroes of our time" carried out at EOI A Coruña during the 2021-2022 academic year. The theme was the preservation of our heritage and reflection on the figure of the hero in culture and society and its evolution over time. This type of collaborative projects with other European centres does not usually take place at EEOOII or Special Regime Schools and is very important as it deals with intergenerational learning and an exchange of learning with European students. However, they represent a key element to internationalize and spread EEOOII in Europe as adult education centres and also with a view to carrying out Erasmus+ projects in which teachers and students participate. After explaining what eTwinning consists of and the methodology adopted, PBL (project-based learning), we will contextualize this project and examine how it has been developed at various levels within the special framework of an EOI. We will focus on the development of the six areas of the digital competence in this type of projects, which are in themselves an excellent form to stimulate professional development and team work and to transfer the use of digital tools in the classroom.

[Resumen] En este artículo se explora el impacto del eTwinning a través del proyecto “Euroheroes of our time” realizado en la EOI A Coruña durante el curso 2021-2022. El tema era la preservación de nuestro patrimonio y la reflexión sobre la figura del héroe en la cultura y la sociedad y su evolución en el tiempo. Este tipo de proyectos colaborativos con otros centros europeos no abunda en EEOOII ni en las Enseñanzas de Régimen Especial y tiene importancia al tratarse de un aprendizaje intergeneracional y un intercambio con estudiantes europeos. Sin embargo, suponen un elemento clave para internacionalizar y difundir a las EEOOII en Europa como centros de educación de adultos y también de cara a la realización de proyectos Erasmus+ en los que participen profesorado y alumnado. Después de explicar en qué consiste eTwinning y la metodología adoptada, el ABP (aprendizaje basado en proyectos), contextualizaremos este proyecto y examinaremos de qué forma se ha implementado en varios niveles dentro del marco especial de una EOI. Nos centraremos en el desarrollo de las seis áreas de la CDD en este tipo de proyectos, que ya son en sí mismos una forma para estimular el desarrollo profesional, el trabajo en equipo y para transferir el uso de herramientas digitales en el aula.
