La violencia como narrativa de la esfera incivil mexicana

Abstract

[Resumen] El propósito del artículo fue la elaboración de interpretaciones generales sobre la acción social simbólica de las autodefensas en Tierra Caliente (Michoacán), lo que reforzó la construcción de un discurso punitivo estatal de combate a la llamada delincuencia organizada, cuya importancia radicó en la legitimación de la intervención estatal armada en las regiones consideradas como “rehenes” del llamado crimen organizado. Este hecho generó un discurso social incivil contrario a los valores civiles, identificados con una solidaridad horizontal e inclusiva, pero expresada como un discurso binario (sagrado/profano). Por tal motivo, se utilizó la metodología propuesta por Jeffrey Alexander para analizar la narrativa binaria registrada en la prensa escrita

[Abstract] The purpose of this article was the elaboration of general interpretations of the symbolic social action of the self-defense groups in hot land (Michoacán), which reinforced the construction of a punitive state discourse against organized crime, whose importance was based on the legitimation of the armed state intervention in the regions considered as “hostages” of the so-called organized crime. This fact generated an uncivil social discourse contrary to civil values, identified with a horizontal and inclusive solidarity, but expressed as a binary discourse (sacred/profane), for this reason, the methodology proposed by Jeffrey Alexander was used to analyze the binary narrative recorded in the written press
