Organizaçâo do conhecimento: análise conceitual

Abstract

[Resumo] A organização do conhecimento é uma área de estudos interdisciplinar e que, portanto, encontra dificuldades na delimitação de seu conceito. O periódico da ISKO caracteriza-se como um importante meio interdisciplinar de comunicação científica para discussões voltadas à organização do conhecimento, tornando-se uma rica fonte de estudos sobre o panorama internacional de aplicação desse conceito. Partindo do conceito de organização do conhecimento proposto por Brascher e Café (2010), o objetivo deste artigo é verificar, na literatura internacional, o emprego do termo organização do conhecimento, buscando-se convergências com o conceito norteador. A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa bibliográfica na base de dados LISA de artigos publicados no periódico ISKO, no período entre 2000 e 2010. A busca foi realizada com o termo ?knowledge organization? no campo ?descriptor?, em que foram recuperados 31 artigos. Os documentos passaram por uma análise de conteúdo e foram posteriormente fichados. A pesquisa apresenta uma abordagem quanti-qualitativa do problema, e seus resultados apontam que 45% dos artigos apresentaram conformidade total com o conceito norteador.

[Abstract] The organization of knowledge is a multi-disciplinary area of studies, therefore, it finds difficulties on the determination of its concept. ISKO?s journal is characterized as an important multi-disciplinary scientific media of communication on the discussions around the knowledge organization, which makes it a rich source of studies about the international perspective of this concept?s application. Based on the knowledge organization?s concept proposed by Brascher and Café (2010), the objective of this article is to verify, in the international literature, the use of the term ?knowledge organization?, searching for matches with the guiding concept. The methodology utilized was the bibliographical research on the LISA database of published articles on ISKO?s journal, in the period between 2000 and 2010. The search was accomplished with the term ?knowledge organization? in the ?descriptor? field, from which 31 articles were retrieved. The documents went through an analysis of content and were further filed. The research presents a quantitative-qualitative approach of the problem and its outcome reveals that 45% of the articles present total compliance with the guiding concept.
