“Água e vento são meio sustento”: aspectos teórico-conceituais a serem considerados na pesquisa em educação ambiental e mudanças climaticas

Abstract

[Resumo] O impacto causado pela ação humana no ambiente natural já é incalculável, o número de espécies ameaçadas de extinção mostra perda significativa da biodiversidade. As alterações na superfície terrestre impactam diretamente os ecossistemas mostrando que sem controle de uso e ocupação do solo, os riscos de perdas maiores são certezas. Neste contexto, o objetivo deste artigo é sistematizar alguns dos conceitos, termos e discussões em torno do enfretamento de mudanças climáticas globais, justiça ambiental e educação ambiental. Configurou-se em um levantamento bibliográfico documental e conceitual, compreendendo as mudanças climáticas no Brasil bem como o aprofundamento teórico sobre a fenomenologia. Outra importante atividade são as entrevistas com os grupos sociais da comunidade de São Pedro de Joselândia e também da comunidade Quilombola de Mata Cavalo. Estes apresentam uma percepção aguçada sobre as alterações climáticas sentidas no seu cotidiano como o aumento da temperatura, mudanças no regime das chuvas e disponibilidade hídrica. Assim, o debate do que são mudanças climáticas, o que as provoca, além de táticas de enfrentamento, adaptação e mitigação de mudanças climáticas são importantes atividades da educação Ambiental. Uma das táticas trabalhadas pelo Grupo Pesquisador em Educação Ambiental, Comunicação e Arte são os Projetos Ambientais escolares Comunitários – PAECs.

[Abstract] The impact of human activities on the natural environment is already incalculable, the number of endangered species shows signifcant loss of biodiversity. Changes in the Earth’s surface directly impact ecosystems showing that uncontrolled use and occupation, the risk of greater losses are certainties. In this context, the purpose of this article is to systematize some of the concepts, terms and discussions on the coping of global climate change, environmental justice and environmental education. Set in a documentary and conceptual literature, including climate change in Brazil and the theoretical study on the phenomenology. Another important activity are the interviews with social groups in the community of San Pedro de Joselândia and also the Quilombola community of Mata Cavalo. These have a keen awareness on climate change experienced in their daily lives such as increased temperature, changes in rainfall patterns and water availability. Thus, the discussion of which are climate change, the causes, and coping tactics, adaptation and mitigation of climate change are important activities of environmental education. One of the tactics worked by the Group Researcher in Environmental Education, Communication and Arts are the Environmental Projects Community School - PAECs.
