A educación ambiental en Galicia: controversias sobre o desenvolvemento do campo e o seu estado actual

Abstract

[Resumo] Nun contexto socioeconómico e político como o actual, que demanda a transformación cara outros modelos de sociedade, a educación ambiental en Galicia, que podería ser unha ferramenta potente para o cambio, está a sufrir un preocupante retroceso respecto a conquistas alcanzadas en décadas anteriores (SGEA, 2011). Este artigo busca aportar un pouco de luz sobre esta realidade, presentando algunhas das principais conclusións da investigación “A educación ambiental en Galicia: análise sociobiográfica da súa construción como campo”, tese doutoral realizada no marco do Grupo de investigación SEPA da USC, con cargo ás axudas do Plan Galego 2011/2015 (Convocatoria 2011). No texto recóllense aqueles puntos interpretativos que contribúen á liña de reflexión proposta no III Congreso Internacional de Educación Ambiental dos Países e Comunidades de Lingua Portuguesa, arredor do paradoxo sobre unha perda de peso da educación ambiental nas políticas ambientais e educativas mentres que vai parella ao empeoramento das problemáticas que constitúen a crise ambiental. Tras os discursos oficiais deterministas, que argumentan e xustifican o desmantelamento do campo sobre a base das “necesarias” e “inevitables” políticas de austeridade, escóndense dinámicas e loitas de poder que veñen condicionando a súa traxectoria e que resulta interesante facer explícitas

[Abstract] In a socioeconomic and political context as the current one, that demands the transformation towards other models of society, we fnd that the environmental education in Galicia, the one that could be one of the most powerful roads towards the change, is sufering a worrying setback regarding achievements reached in previous decades (SGEA, 2011). The following article seeks to show a bit of light about this reality, presenting some of the main conclusions of the study of the thesis “The environmental education in Galicia: sociobiographical analysis of it´s construction like feld”, developed inside the Group of investigation SEPA of the USC, with charge to the aids of the Galician Plan 2011/2015 (Announcement 2011). It collects those interpretive points that contribute to the line of refection proposed in the III International Congress of Environmental Education of the Countries and Communities of Portuguese Tongue, around the paradox about the lossing importance of the environmental education in the environmental and educational politics whereas the environmental crisis sharpens. After deterministics ofcial speeches, that argue the dismantlement of the feld about the base of the “necessary” politics of austerity, hide dynamic and fght power that are conditioning it´s path and that turns out interesting to clarify.
