Abstract

The article analyses plays such as Todos os fillos de Galaad (1981), Viva Lanzarote (1982), A sensación de Camelot (1991) and A noite dos cabaleiros (2006) by Lourenzo, and Percival (1982) by Vidal Bolaño (adapted from the short story of the same name by Xosé Luís Méndez Ferrín, first published in 1958) to explore the use made by Galician theatre of one of the three great story cycles of western medieval literature during the period of theatrical revival that followed the end of the Franco dictatorship.
