El espacio de encuentro personal con Dios en el entorno contemporáneo: la Capilla del Silencio en Helsinki

Abstract

[Resumen] El mensaje del Sínodo de los Obispos (2012) expone las claves de la nueva evangelización que iluminan las respuestas de la arquitectura a los retos que plantea. En el mismo año, se inaugura en Helsinki la Capilla del Silencio que ofrece un lugar de recogimiento espiritual, abierto a todas las personas. En un entorno de gran afluencia —plaza Narinkka— su llamativa forma despierta curiosidad. Una comunidad que acoge en el vestíbulo, ayuda a descubrir un interior sereno que invita a la contemplación y al silencio. La respuesta suscitada, propicia el análisis de sus cualidades arquitectónicas, cercanas a los objetivos de la nueva evangelización.

[Abstract] The message developed by the Synod of the Catholic Bishops (2012) exposes the keys of the new evangelization, that illuminate the answers of the architecture to the challenges that it lays out. In the same year, there is inaugurated in Helsinki the Chapel of Silence, that offers a place of spiritual meditation, opened to all the people. In an environment very popular —Narinkka square— his showy form wakes curiosity up. A community that receives in the lobby, it drives to discover a serene interior that he invites you to the contemplation and to the silence. The provoked response, it contributes to the analysis of his architectural qualities, near to the aims of the new evangelization
