Algúns aspectos da sintaxe dialectal portuguesa dos inicios do século XX e a súa correspondencia co galego

Abstract

[Resumo] A sintaxe dialectal suscitou pouco interese nos estudos lingüísticos dos séculos XIX-XX, tamén no ámbito galego-portugués. Embora esa situación mudase na actualidade, aínda continúan a se detectar lacunas relativamente a outras disciplinas gramaticais como a fonética, a morfoloxía ou o léxico. O presente traballo céntrase precisamente en cuestións dialectais no marco da sintaxe, en particular documentadas no norte de Portugal, as cales hoxe en día son asociadas idiosincraticamente aos falares galegos. Para tal fin, baseámonos –aínda que non só– nos traballos do polígrafo José Leite de Vasconcellos (1858-1941), pioneiro nos estudos sobre variación dialectal do portugués. Ao mesmo tempo, tentamos exemplificar todos os fenómenos lingüísticos con textos provenientes da tradición oral, moitos deles tamén tirados dos materiais leiteanos

[Abstract] The subject of dialectal syntax received little attention from linguistic scholars in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. While this has begun to change in recent years, much work remains to be done in comparison with other grammatical disciplines, such as phonetics, morphology and lexicon. This article focuses on features of dialectal syntax found in northern Portugal and nowadays more typically associated with Galician. The analysis is based in large part on the works of the polymath and pioneer of Portuguese dialectal variation research, José Leite de Vasconcellos (1858-1941), and illustrated with texts from oral tradition, many of them taken from Leite de Vasconcellos’s own work
