Abstract
[Abstract] This chapter draws attention to how three Latinx writers—Gabby Rivera, Elizabeth Acevedo, and Lilliam Rivera—have crafted stories that effectively highlight issues that specifically affect the lives of young Latinas. The analysis focuses on how these narratives address violence and its impact on the production of sociocultural spaces. These three authors focus on accounts of personal and institutional violence and their participation in the production of reimagined spaces and reterritorialized discourses.
