Abstract
[Abstract] In the recent past, several studies have been showed the consequences of emotional variables in burnout. Literature has proved lastly the existence of high levels of burnout among university students. The present study assesses the relationship among emotion regulation factors (emotionally control, use of emotionally regulation strategies, emotionally self-knowledge, and emotionally clarity) and burnout factors (emotionally exhaustion, despersonalization, and personal accomplishment) in a sample of Physiotherapy students. Our results suggest that burnout syndrome appears when student’s emotion regulation is low. Furthermore, higher levels of emotion regulation show lower levels of emotionally exhaustion and despersonalization, and higher levels of personal accomplishment.
