«Sicut apes». Recepción e imitación de los clásicos en el Siglo de Oro y creación artística híbrida (texto e imagen)

Abstract

[Resumen] Para evaluar la producción de nuestros autores del Siglo de Oro es muy importante conocer cuáles eran los métodos que emplearon en su formación para leer, para aprender, para crear y producir nuevas obras. Este trabajo se ocupa de explorar esos procesos, desde las técnicas para elaborar el codex excerptorius personal a la importancia de la imprenta como fenómeno divulgador y moldeador de una cultura por medio de las polianteas o las selecciones impresas de la Antología griega, enriquecidas con traducción al latín de los epigramas e imitaciones de diversos notables humanistas que estimularon la creación e imitación en las aulas. Se analizan también métodos uniformes seguidos en muchos países por los colegios de la Compañía de Jesús, que hicieron universal una herencia cultural y unas formas de recepción y creación artística. Incidimos, en especial, en el hermanamiento de texto e imagen como formas híbridas de notable utilidad para la educación y la propaganda ideológica

[Abstract] To evaluate the production of our authors of the Golden Age, it is very important to know what were the methods they used in their training to read, to learn, to create and produce new works. This paper deals with exploring these processes, from the techniques to elaborate the personal codex excerptorius to the importance of the printing press as a popularizing and shaping phenomenon of a culture by means of poliantheae or printed selections from the Greek Anthology, enriched with translation from Greek to Latin for epigrams and imitations of various notable humanists who encouraged creation and imitation in the classroom. Uniform methods followed in many countries by the schools of the Society of Jesus, that made the cultural heritage and certain forms of artistic reception and creation universal thanks to the geographical dispersion of their schools are also analyzed. We emphasize, especially, the twinning of text and image as hybrid forms of remarkable utility for education and ideological propaganda
