Abstract
[Abstract] Galician dramatic historiography from Franco´s period has identified some key moments linked to the Centro Lucense in Buenos Aires, such as the Teatro Popular Galego promoted by Eduardo Blanco Amor or the debut of O casamento do latoneiro written by John M. Synge, and translated by Ramón de Valenzuela. However, the performance history of this institution, as well as the circumstances that led to Galician-language theatre being performed at certain times and not at others, have yet to be to its theatrical activity and also contextualizes the stage productions it hosted during that period, focusing on the circumstances in which they took place, the participants in them, and the presence or absence of programmatic lines related to when the Galician language was used on stage.
