Abstract

In this article we will analyze the texts published in Amauta. They will be analyzed taking into account the presence of a cosmopolitan author like Abril in a journal like Amauta, in which the identity issue was a main topic. Through the analysis of the texts, keeping in mind the proposal and the aesthetic trajectory of the author, as well as the existential and social problems of his time, we will reveal the relevant role of Abril in Amauta, which was characterized by three closely related features: his surrealist affiliation, a declared existential pessimism and his commitment to socialism.
