Abstract
[Abstract] This article describes and analyzes the unpublished theatrical fragments by Xohán Casal preserved in the Real Academia Galega, with special attention to the texts entitled Adro and Fillo morto. It is a dramatic production far removed from the theses defended by the majority current into the Galician autonomy movement during the so-called internal exile at the time of the Franco dictatorship. The analysis focuses on the author’s ideology, as well as the theme and aesthetic lines of his theatre. In addition, some hypotheses are formulated about the value that Casal attributed to dramatic activity in the repressive context of the Franco regime.
