Informe de cuidados de enfermería, programa conecta72 y la enfermera gestora de casos: estudio de opinión médica

Abstract

[Resumen] Antecedentes y objetivos: El Informe de Cuidados de Enfermería (ICE) recoge cuidados enfermeros durante la estancia hospitalaria. CONECTA72 es un programa para asegurar el seguimiento de cuidados al alta, y su hilo conductor es el ICE. La enfermera gestora de casos (EGC) focaliza su actividad en la práctica avanzada del cuidado. El objetivo es conocer la opinión de los médicos/ as del Área Sanitaria de Ferrol sobre ICE, CONECTA72 y EGC.

Métodos: Estudio observacional descriptivo con 172 facultativos especialistas y residentes. Participación voluntaria, mediante cuaderno de datos ad hoc enviado por correo electrónico tras los correspondientes permisos.

Resultados: El 78,1% conocen la existencia del ICE; 73,1% lo habían leído en alguna ocasión, 88,6% cree conveniente que los pacientes lo reciban.

61,6% conocen CONECTA72, aunque el 23,2% no han participado en él. El 83,2% creen conveniente la existencia de EGC.

Conclusiones: El ICE es un instrumento efectivo para dar continuidad a los cuidados, pero existe un desconocimiento importante sobre cuándo se realiza y su contenido. Parece necesario promocionar CONECTA72, ya que es desconocido por un tercio del personal médico; aunque no parece que su existencia pueda suplir la figura de EGC

[Abstract] Background and objectives: Patient Care Report (PCR) collects nursing care, which is provided to the patient during the hospital stay. CONECTA 72 is a program to ensure the monitoring of these cares and, the PCR is the overarching element. Case Management Nurse focuses its activity on advanced practice of care. The objective is known the doctor's opinion about PCR, CONECTA 72 and Case Management Nurse in Health Area of Ferrol.

Methods: Descriptive observational study with 172 specialists and residents. They participated voluntarily in the study through an ad hoc data collection notebook sent by email after the corresponding permits.

Results: About 78.1% of them know the existence of PCR; 73.1% had read it occasionally; 88.6% believe it is convenient for patients to receive it when they left the hospital. About 61.6% of them know CONECTA72, although 23.2% have not participated in the program. 83.2% believed the figure of case management nurse is convenient.

Conclusion: The PCR is an effective instrument to give continuity of care, but there is a significant lack of knowledge about when is performed and its content. It seems necessary to deepen the promotion of CONECTA72, since it is unknown by a third of the medical staff;

although it does not seem that its existence can replace the figure of Nurse Case Manager.
