An amount of 137 roughness measurements under different conditions of tillage and crop were made from March, 1997 to April, 1998. A pinmeter was used for this pourpose. After trend removal, four roughness indices: tortuosity, random roughness, limiting slope and limiting difference were calculated. Limiting difference and random roughness showed the highest correlation, followed by tortuosity and limiting slope.spaMicroreliefPinmeterRandom roughnessTortuosityGeoestatistical indicesRelación entre índices de rugosidad: tortuosidad, pendiente límite, distancia límite y rugosidad aleatoriaRelations between roughness indices: tortuosity, limiting slope, limiting difference and random roughnessjournal articleopen access
