We must, therefore, start by determining what it is, and the forms that it assumes. These are multiple, unsystematic, and not strictly rational, yet essential for the smooth running of social life. We will consider the relationship tolerance has with Law and with rights and personal liberties, additionally examining those elements existing in our environment which may favor or hinder tolerance. Our methodology avoids abstractions as we prefer to use historical, concrete approaches, always in touch with reality.eng© 2023 Springer Nature Switzerland AGTolerationLawRightsPoliticsStatutesToleration and Fundamental Rightsbook partopen access10.1007/978-3-319-31739-7_70-1
