Na manipulação e nas glosas destes romances transparece a ideologia ultraconservadora deste filólogo de inícios do século XX.[Abstract] Armando Cotarelo Valledor, a philologist of the beginning of XX c., tried to become the most important intellectual figure of the galeguismo of his time. With this intention he appropriated some of the ballads, which were collected by the lawyer and folklorist Alfonso Hervella Courel.
