dc.description.abstract[Abstract] This paper is an attempt to give new light to the controversial issue of uni- versality in the Binding Theory, mainly in PrincipIes A and B. We will present evidence not only from synchronic and diachronic linguistics but also from results obtained in experiments in the field of Language Acquisition that will lead us to conclude that even if these syntactic PrincipIes exist, are by no means univesal.es_ES
