Abstract
[Summary]: Adrián A. is an officer at the Vilareal Local Police (judicial district of Betanzos). Since June 2023, he has suspected that two of his colleagues, officers Basilio B. and Carolina C., have been conducting selective inspections of nightlife venues with the aim of reporting them for violating municipal noise pollution regulations. To clarify his suspicions, during a shared shift on the night of July 3, 2023, he placed a tape recorder in a space used by all officers, the meeting room of the local police station. This is a room where officers have free access during their shift, and they use it for resting. Also, conversations about matters both related and unrelated to their work usually take place, normally in a relaxed tone.
