[Resumen] La excepcionalidad de la pandemia
del Covid-19 llevóa la Comisión Europea
aaprobarla Comunicación de 18 de marzo
de 2020, que contiene sus Directrices
interpretativas de los cuatro Reglamentos en
materia de derechos del pasajero, para aclarar
cómo se han de aplicar en este contexto,
especialmente en caso de cancelaciones y
retrasos. A este fin aporta unas orientaciones
generales y otras específicas, relativas a cada
modo de transporte, que abordan los derechos
de información, de obtener un transporte
alternativo o el reembolso del precio del
billete, de asistencia y de indemnización.
Este trabajo pretende estudiar los derechos
del pasajero marítimo reconocidos en
el Reglamento (UE) n.° 1177/2010,
singularmente vinculados a cancelaciones o
retrasos; y analizardichasDirectrices.
[Abstract] The exceptionality of the Covid-19 pandemic led the European Commission to approve the Communication of March 18, 2020, which contains its Interpretive Guidelines for the four Regulations on passenger rights, to clarify how they must be applied in this context, especially in case of cancellations and delays. With this purpose, it provides general and specific guidelines, relative to each mode of transport, which address the rights to information, assistance, re-routing or reimbursement of the ticket priceand compensation. This work aims to study the rights of the maritime passengers recognized in Regulation (UE) No. 1177/2010, specially related to cancellations or delays; and analyze the Interpretive Guidelines.
