Paleo-edafología de la parte meriodional de la Manga del Mar Menor (Murcia, España)

Abstract

[Resumen] Se estudian los caracteres de los suelos y paleosuelos de la zona sur de la Manga del Mar Menor, entre Cabo de Palos y el macizo volcánico de Calnegre, definiendo las etapas de sedimentaci6n y edafización ocurridas durante el Cuaternario y las circunstancias de las mismas. Los interesantes fenómenos acaecidos en la paleo-ecología de este sector, tanto en su régimen hídrico como en la litología y organismos e, igualmente, la influencia del medio ambiental de entonces sobre ellos, son considerados e interpretados además de por el estudio sedimentológico y edafo1ógico, con la ayuda de testimonios hist6ricos y de datos arqueológicos que hemos consultado sobre investigaciones que realizaron anteriormente. Estas últimas correspondientes a la playa de la vertiente mediterránea de La Manga en el paraje que aquí consideramos.[Abstract] It is studied the characteristics of the soils and the paleosols in the South area of the "Manga del Mar Menor", between Cabo de Palos and the volcanic massif of Calnegre, taking into account the stages of sedimentation and the edaphic factors happened during the Quaternary and its circumstances. The interesting phenomena happened in the paleo-ecology of this sector, as in its hydric system as in its lithology and organism, including the influence of the environment on them at that moment, it is considered and interpretated, further the sedimenta1 and edaphic study, aided by historial attestations and archaelogical data, which we have consu1ted from some researches made before. The last ones are corresponding to the beach on the Mediterranean slope of "La Manga", a place considered by us here
