Abstract

[Abstract]: In this work, we present an innovative approach to jointly perform direct antenna frequency hopping (DAFH) and beam steering using time-modulated arrays (TMAs). Considering a time-modulated feeding network (TM-FN) with excellent time- modulation efficiency, DAFH is accomplished by changing the fundamental frequency of the modulating waveforms at each hopping period. At the same time, beamsteering is performed by simultaneously adjusting the time delays of such waveforms.
