Como somos vistos em Portugal? A visâo da Galiza através dos visitantes portugueses

Abstract

[Resumo] Esta intervenção pretende apresentar a parte do Projecto TUI (Turismo e Identidade) relativa aos visitantes portugueses à Galiza. Os objectivos fundamentais são o conhecimento das motivações dos visitantes portugueses que chegam à nossa comunidade, bem como a análise da imagem que da Galiza (e dos galegos) têm, e como esta influi na interacção durante a estadia. A este respeito, são abordadas questões como a definição dos perfis a estudar, aspectos metodológicos de recolha e análise de dados, assim como as principais conclusões do trabalho realizado até ao momento. Além disso, são discutidas também perspectivas de trabalho futuro e de aplicabilidade da pesquisa.

[Abstract] This paper presents the part of the TUI Project (Tourism and Identity) related to the portuguese visitors that come to Galicia. The main objectives of this research line are (i) to know the motivations that portuguese travelers have to visit our community, (ii) the characteristics of the image of Galiza (and of Galician people) that they have, and (iii) the way motivations and image interact during the visit. We will discuss the definition of the visitors’ profiles, some methodological aspects related to collection and analysis issues, and the first conclusions of this research. Furthermore, we also suggest further perspectives of this work as well as areas of applicability of the project.
