Análisis de la accesibilidad en las sedes de turismo de eventos en Barcelona

Abstract

[Resumen] El presente análisis evalúa el grado de accesibilidad de las sedes de turismo de eventos de Barcelona. En la primera parte se presenta el turismo de eventos como un sector en el que Barcelona es uno de los referentes mundiales pero que se ha visto frenado por la crisis económica. Si en momentos de dificultad lo natural es buscar nuevos nichos de mercado, el turismo accesible se ha revelado como uno de ellos. El tema se aborda desde la noción de accesibilidad universal atendiendo al desarrollo conceptual al que han contribuido organismos y organizaciones internacionales de referencia pero, sobre todo, analizando la normativa legal estatal y autonómica vigente que ampara tanto a infraestructuras y servicios como a las Tecnologías de la Información. El presente trabajo analiza también si hay factores ambientales como el económico o la concienciación social que influyan en la accesibilidad. Se pretende obtener una visión global cuantitativa y cualitativa del objeto de estudio y exponer cómo y por qué se están vulnerando las normativas legales que por derecho garantizan la accesibilidad universal.

[Abstract] Analysis of accessibility in the venues for event tourism in Barcelona. This analysis evaluates the degree of accessibility of the venues for event tourism in Barcelona. The first part presents the event tourism as a sector in which Barcelona is one of the world referents, but has been hampered by the economic crisis. If in times of difficulty it is natural to look for new niche markets, the accessible tourism has emerged as one of them. The subject is approached from the concept of universal accessibility according to the conceptual development to which reference international agencies and organizations have contributed but, above all, analyzing the state and regional current legislation that protect both infrastructures and services, and information technologies. This paper also examines whether there are environmental factors such as the economic elements or social awareness that affect accessibility. The aim is to obtain a quantitative and qualitative overview of the subject of study and explain how and why the legal regulations that by right guarantee universal accessibility are being violated.
