[Resumen]: Alfonso IX, Rey de León y Galicia, no obstante el carácter itinerante de su
corte, desarrolló una ingente actividad diplomática. Efectuó casi medio centenar de
viajes por sus dominios galaicos y fue el único monarca hispánico que otorgó
documentos en las aisladas tierras occidentales de su reino.
