El teatro clásico español en la escena nacional contemporánea: de la decadencia en la Transición al esplendor actual

[Resumen] En este artículo se reúnen por primera vez las causas dispersas del abandono escénico de los autores clásicos españoles durante la década de los setenta, su progresiva recuperación a lo largo de los 80 y 90, y su consolidación artística y social a partir del cambio de milenio. El trabajo expone las razones que influyeron en este proceso de recuperación y realiza un balance de la cartelera, desde 1975 hasta el presente, para constatar el auge actual del teatro barroco en España[Abstract] This article recompiles for the first time the dispersed causes of the Spanish classical authors’ stage abandonment during the decade of the ’70s, their gradual recovery throughout the ’80s and the ’90s, and their artistic and social consolidation since the turn of the millennium. This paper discusses the reasons that influenced this process of recovery and takes stock of the theatre listings, from 1975 to the present, in order to highlight the current boom of Baroque theatre in Spain
