Projeto de Extensão: “Educação Ambiental na Prática”

Abstract

[Resumo] Esse projeto vem sendo desenvolvido na região de São Roque, SP, através de uma parceria do IFSP – SRQ com escolas da região, com objetivo de atender as demandas das escolas e, ao mesmo tempo, contribuir para um entendimento mais abrangente dos discentes dos cursos de Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas e Tecnologia em Gestão Ambiental, de como se faz educação ambiental dentro do espaço escolar, considerando um caráter permanente, interdisciplinar, integrado às questões sociais e econômicas. Iniciou em 2014, com a participação de duas escolas municipais, onde ao longo do ano, discentes desses cursos, realizaram semanalmente atividades de educação ambiental nessas escolas, com alunos do 2º ao 9º anos do ensino fundamental, buscando leva-los a refletir sobre a gênese dos problemas ambientais, potencializando sua capacidade crítica e buscando mudanças de valores e atitudes para identificar, problematizar e agir em relação às questões ambientais. O resultado foi significativo, pois gerou interação entre os participantes, mudança de comportamento e a inserção da questão ambiental nas escolas, como tema transversal. A atuação através de projetos de extensão promove a integração do IFSP com a comunidade local e também é um elemento fundamental no processo de aprendizagem dentro do tripé ensino, pesquisa e extensão.

[Abstract] This project is being developed in the region of São Roque, SP, through a partnership IFSP - SRQ with schools in the region, in order to meet the demands of schools and at the same time contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the students of the courses Degree in Biological Sciences and Technology Environmental Management, on how to make environmental education within the school environment, considering it permanent, interdisciplinary and integrated with social and economic issues. It started in 2014, with the participation of two municipal schools, where throughout the year, students of these courses, held weekly environmental education in these schools, with students from 2nd to 9th grades of elementary school, seeking leading them to reflect on the genesis of environmental problems, enhancing their critical capacity and seeking changes in values and attitudes to identify, discuss and take action on environmental issues. The result was significant because it generated interaction among participants, behavior change and the inclusion of environmental causes in schools, as a transversal theme. The role through outreach projects helps to integrate the IFSP with the local community and is also a key element in the learning process within the tripod teaching, research and extension.
