dc.description.abstract[Abstract]: The application of Blockchain technology in public administration is emerging as a topic of growing interest in the global context. The fundamental role of administration, focused on resource management and decision-making with social impact, places it in a strategic position to make the world more sustainable. At the same time, Blockchain technology is seen as an innovative tool, due to its ability to create immutable digital records, generating increasing interest for its potential to enhance sustainability and reduce environmental impact in the management of public resources. The objective of this sustainability-focused research is to conduct an in-depth analysis of the main advantages and challenges of applying Blockchain technologies in public administration as well as its potential impact on sustainability. To achieve this, a review of key documents and case studies related to the subject Will be conducted. The results suggest new areas of study within sustainability research, focusing on the development of scalable solutions, longitudinal studies on environmental impact, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Focusing sustainability research on these areas will enable Blockchain to become a truly transformative tool for a more sustainable future.
