La discreción en Gracián

Abstract

[Resumen] El artículo analiza los conceptos de “discreción” y “discreto” en diferentes obras de Gracián (El Discreto y el Oráculo manual) al tiempo que anota algunos significados en obras anteriores y contemporáneas a las del autor jesuita. Ofrece, asimismo, algunas referencias del contexto ignaciano y jesuítico que quedan reflejadas en el significado que atribuye Gracián al concepto analizado.[Sommaire] L’article analyse les concepts de «discrétion» (« honnêteté ») et «discret» dans différentes oeuvres de Gracián (El Discreto et Oráculo manual) alors qu’il note quelques signifiés dans des oeuvres antérieures et contemporaines à celles de l’auteur jésuite. Il offre, de la même manière, quelques références du contexte ignacien et jésuitique qui sont reflétées dans le signifié que Gracián attribue au concept analysé.[Abstract] The article analyzes the concepts of “discreción” and “discreto” in Gracián’s different works (El Discreto and the Oráculo manual) at the same time that it notes some meanings in previous and contemporary works to those of the Jesuit author. It offers, likewise, some references of the Ignatian and Jesuitic concept that are reflected in the meaning that Gracián attributes to the analyzed concept.
