Abstract
[Resumen] El Via Crucis de la JMJ Madrid 2011 fue un proyecto de carácter novedoso, ya que propuso, en primer lugar, la integración del lenguaje de la arquitectura contemporánea con la imaginería tradicional venida de toda España, generando una Vía Dolorosa física que sería recorrida por la Cruz de los Jóvenes; y en segundo lugar, supuso una actuación de gran escala que podríamos encuadrar en la moderna disciplina del urban land art. Desde el punto de vista de la historia de las Jornadas Mundiales de la Juventud, cabe destacar la integración de la figura de la Virgen María en este recorrido, que aparece en la XV estación dedicada a ella.
[Abstract] The Stations of the Cross for WYD Madrid 2011 was a project of novelty, as proposed integration of the language of contemporary architecture with traditional imagery coming in Spain. First generating physically a Via-Dolorosa would be covered by Cross Youth; and secondly, it was a large-scale action, which could be fitted in the modern discipline of urban land art.
