Abstract
[Abstract] This paper focuses on literary criticism as a cultural and social agent within a historical context, where it is possible to evolve a new way of reading and in the frame of a social reality and where the author’s culture is being undermined by the same instances that have the political mandate to protect it. The point of departure is to identify a new way of reading and of understanding the literary fact, which is the basis of a socialization of the reading process. This goal is diametrically opposed to the current and general conception of literature as a pleasure restricted to the individual and its privacy.
