Abstract
[Abstract] In this work a case study is presented in which the behaviour of a modular machine is modeled with different Grafcet models and the control software is implemented according to the standard IEC 61499 that enhances the design of distributed applications. The proposed models take into account different degrees of modularity of the components and, based on these models, different implementations are proposed, seeing how the models influence the distribution of the control algorithms.
