Abstract
[Resumen] La praxis, entendida como la aplicación de los propios
conocimientos teóricos en la práctica, implica una
adecuada conceptualización previa y una completa
formación en todas las dimensiones filosóficas de
cualquier disciplina. En Terapia Ocupacional (TO), este
hecho puede ser difícil de adoptar por los futuros y
recién titulados, ante la heterogeneidad de corrientes y
la convivencia de diferentes paradigmas (actuales y
heredados), que complica la aplicación de un
razonamiento propio y ordenador en el proceso clínico.
Las responsabilidades de la institución universitaria es
ofrecer a los estudiantes los recursos de información
adecuados, formar en la búsqueda de la mejor
evidencia disponible, fomentar el pensamiento crítico y
promover una intervención centrada en la persona,
adaptada a sus necesidades y preferencias. El fin último
ha de ser que el profesional de terapia ocupacional
tenga un correcto criterio para tomar decisiones en su
práctica de forma fundamentada y razonada.
[Abstract] Applying professional praxis, as a performance of own theorist knowledge into practice, implicates a good previous conceptualization and a complete formation in the whole philosophic dimensions of each discipline. In Occupational Therapy, the future and recent graduates can encounter difficulties in this process, due the heterogeneity of tends and coexistence of different paradigms (actual and inherited). That complicates the application of own and organizer of reasoning in clinical practice. Responsibility of university institution is to offer to students the adequate resources of information, to learn about evidence-based practice, to encourage the critical thinking, and to promote the person-centered intervention, adapting this one to his/her needs and preferences. The final goal has to be that the occupational therapist adopts a correct criterion to take decisions into his/her practice, in wellfounded and reasoned way.
