Abstract
[Abstract]: The fashion industry has undergone major transformations in recent years, driven by economic, technological and social factors. Companies in the sector have been forced to adapt quickly to these changes in order to remain competitive in an increasingly dynamic environment. Throughout this work, a detailed financial analysis of the main companies dedicated to the retail trade of clothing in Spain will be carried out, focusing on those classified under CNAE 4771. For this purpose, Power BI will be used as the main analysis tool, which will allow the data to be structured, visualised and explored in a clear and interactive way. The period selected for the analysis includes several periodsº, which allows both evolutionary analyses over time and studies focused on specific years of special relevance. Aspects covered include geographic distribution, turnover, average number of employees and profitability, thus providing a comprehensive view of their economic situation and performance. A specific study of luxury fashion will also be included, where the same variables are addressed, in order to understand the particularities of this segment and its differences with the main sector. Subsequently, a comparison is made between luxury fashion and fast fashion, focusing on the factors that explain the differences in terms of profitability.
