Abstract
[Resumen] Objetivo: Analizar la asociación entre la Terapia O
cupacional
edad. Mediciones: edad y género; realización de un
tratamiento
rehabilitador; intervención de TO a través del sist
ema sanitario;
Rea
lizar TO a
Sanitarios y Sociales.
[Abstract] Objective: To examine the association between Occup ational Therapy (OT) or the care of Social Services and the implementation of an adaptation of the home. Methodology: We reviewed the Baremos de Valoración de la Dependencia (BVD) applied by the researcher in home s, for 16 weeks, provided by prior dissociation. BVD were inc luded in which recognized a degree of dependence to adult ap plicant. Measurements: age and gender; completion of a rehab ilitation treatment; OT intervention through health system; S ocial Services used by participants. We studied the imple mentation of a series of 12 categories of adaptation of the home . Results: The intervention of formal care Social Ser vices not significantly associated with home adaptation. OT p erform through the health system is statistically signific antly associated with the removal of barriers to the performance in the home of the basic activities of the dependent (p=0,005, odd s ratio 4,91).Conclusions: OT is associated with home adapt ation. To promote the maintenance at home and independent performance of basic activities, it is necessary to develop occupational interventions, from the Health and Soc ial Service.
