Valores cohesivos de la creación musical en el aula. Estudio intercultural a través del gamelán indonesio

Abstract

[Resumen] En sociedades cada vez más pluriculturales, la interculturalidad requiere un compromiso educativo en valores y actitudes de convivencia, respeto, empatía e intercambio. En este estudio, contrastamos el potencial social de la creación musical como herramienta cooperativa e intercultural en el aula de secundaria, mediante el recurso del gamelán indonesio como puente entre culturas. A través de una investigación-acción complementada con un focus group, se planifica un diseño educativo adaptado a las necesidades de la muestra, analizando su viabilidad a la hora de propiciar valores cohesivos, intercambio cultural, desarrollo técnico-musical y mejora del autoconcepto artístico-creativo, desde una experiencia vivencial y significativa en el tiempo. Entre los principales resultados recabados se destaca la interdependencia y compromiso colectivo alcanzados, el desarrollo rítmico del grupo, la evolución hacia actitudes proclives a la expresión artística y la perpetuación del recuerdo de la experiencia tres cursos y medio más tarde. El gamelán confirma su potencial educativo e intercultural, en línea con investigaciones previas, a la hora de propiciar dinámicas cooperativas eficaces y accesibles que contribuyan a superar las barreras del eurocentrismo imperante, abriendo los oídos y el entendimiento a otras sonoridades y culturas, interrelacionándolas a la vez con las entendidas como propias.

[Abstract] In increasingly multicultural societies, interculturality requires an educational commitment in values and attitudes of coexistence, respect, empathy and exchange. In this research, we ascertain the social potential of musical creation as a cooperative and intercultural tool in secondary education, using the Indonesian gamelan as a bridge between cultures. Through an action-based research, complemented by a focus group, we plan an educational design adapted to the needs of the sample, analyzing its viability in order to promote cohesive values, cultural exchange, technical-musical development and improvement of artistic self-concept, from a meaningful experience over time. Among the main results obtained we highlight the interdependence and collective commitment achieved, the rhythmic development of the group, the evolution towards attitudes prone to artistic expression and the perpetuation of the memory of the experience three and a half years later. Gamelan confirms its educational and intercultural potential, coinciding with previous researchers, in order to promote effective and accessible cooperative dynamics that contribute to overcoming the barriers of the prevailing eurocentrism, opening ears and understandings to other sounds and cultures, interrelating them at the same time with those understood as their own.
