Prática cultural do fazer artesanato de cuia: inscrição de saberes ambientais

Abstract

[Resumo] O presente texto resulta de nossas vivências em trabalho de pesquisa junto a algumas unidades familiares da comunidade do Rio Quianduba, município de Abaetetuba/PA. A partir de uma abordagem qualitativa e com o uso da entrevista em profundidade o artigo descreve algumas formas de saberes culturais produzidos por mulheres que habitam áreas ribeirinhas no contexto da produção do artesanato da cuia. Os resultados revelam que na divisão sexual e social do trabalho essa atividade desenvolvida há muitas gerações na localidade é realizada, quase exclusivamente pelas mulheres, e que mesmo possuindo uma importância econômica, simbólica e medicinal está, gradativamente se perdendo o interesse, principalmente, entre os(as) jovens que não a valorizam como um trabalho socioeconômico. O estudo reflete sobre a importância de se preservar esses saberes, posto que contribuem para a dinamização de processos educativos ambientais no contexto familiar e da própria comunidade, e, além disso, dar visibilidade a esses saberes implica em romper e ultrapassar o entendimento da realidade que classifica preconceituosamente esses povos como atrasados e os seus saberes como menores e/ou sem valor, oportunizando assim, atitudes respeitosas em relação a eles e aos seus saberes culturais

[Abstrract] This text is the result of our experiences in research work along to some familiar units of the community of Quianduba, municipality of Abaeté River/PA. From a qualitative approach and with the use of the interview in depth article describes some forms of cultural knowledge produced by women who inhabit riverine areas in the context of the handicraft production of gourd. The results reveal that in sexual and social division of work this activity developed for many generations in the locality is carried out almost exclusively by women, and that even having a symbolic and economic importance, is medicinal, gradually losing interest, especially among the young people who do not flatter as a socio-economic work. The study reflects on the importance of preserving these knoledge, contribute to the promotion of environmentaleducation processes in the family context and the community itself, and, in addition, dair visibility to these knoledge implies breaking and surpass the understanding of reality that classifies these people as backward and prejudicially his knowledge as minors and/or without value, providing thus, respectful attitudes towards them and their cultural knowledge.
