[Resumo] Frei Martín Sarmiento é sen dúbida unha das liguras máis importantes da
Ilustración española, tanto pola diversidade de temas aos que dedicou o seu tempo como
polos principios epistemolóxicos que asumiu. Un ha boa parte da súa extensa obra aborda, di-
rectamente ou máis de esguelio, cuestións relacionadas coa educación, sendo numerosas as
rellexións que se reliren ao ensino dos nenos e xoves desde calquera das súas lacianas: me-
todoloxía, organización ou didáctica. Neste traballo tentamos achegármonos a este aspecto
concreto para poñer de manilesto a coherencia, validez e proxección actual do seu discurso
pedagóxico.
