A emigración senegalesa na Coruña.Unha experiencia persoal

Abstract

[Resumo] Este artigo ofrece unha síntese da historia da migración senegalesa cara á Coruña a partir da experiencia vital do seu autor, das conversas con outros migrantes senegaleses asentados na cidade e das estatísticas oficiais dos estados de Senegal e España. O obxectivo desta análise é subliñar distintas liñas de investigación que xa se están a desenvolver en estudos que aquí se refiren e contribuír á visualización dos problemas que afectan a este colectivo. Tamén se propoñen algunhas actuacións concretas. O artigo pretende, ademais, achegarse á problemática da migración desde unha perspectiva global, incidindo nos factores ambientais e culturais como causas da migración, que as máis das veces quedan relegados a un segundo plano polo peso que se lles concede aos factores económicos e políticos.[Abstract] This article provides a summary of the history of Senegalese migration to A Coruna from the life experience of the author, talks with other Senegalese migrants settled in the city and the official statistics of the states of Senegal and Spain. The objective of this analysis is to highlight different lines of research that are already developed in studies referred and contribute to the visualization of the problems affecting this group here. Some specific actions are also proposed. The article aims also approach the problem of migration from a global perspective, focusing on environmental and cultural factors as causes of migration, which most often are relegated to a second plane by the weight accorded to economic and political factors.
