Oppression through the denial of habitat: an academic experience on the 2023 Gaza strip invasion

Abstract

[Abstract ] Basic Habitat, a course in the BSc in Architecture program at Universidade da Coruña, focuses on the right to habitat, specifically marginalized habitats, and analyzes how various conflicts affect the realization of this right. Since October 2023, we have been examining the effects of the escalation of conflict in the Gaza Strip on the civilian population, mainly through the destruction of their habitat by the attacker. We developed this study in a specific workshop. Significant outcomes are presented here.
