À volta dos livros: o que revelam as cintas

Abstract

[Resumo] Desenvolvida com a imprensa, a perigrafia foi conhecendo diversas formas ao longo dos tempos. Uma das mais recentes foi a cinta colocada à volta do livro. Após a contextualização e a caracterização desta prática, analisam-se neste trabalho várias cintas de obras literárias, com o objetivo de identificar os argumentos a que elas mais recorrem para promover a venda de livros e relacionar estas indicações com o funcionamento do campo literário.

[Abstract] Developed by printing, perigraphy went through different stages throughout times. One of the most recent was the band wrapped around the book. After the contextualization and characterization of this practice, this work analyses several book bands of literary books in order to identify the arguments most used to promote book-selling and in order to relate these indications with the functioning of the literary field.
