Abstract
[Resumen] Esta ponencia se pregunta: ¿cómo la arquitectura religiosa de la periferia urbana de Lima adquiere una expresión en correspondencia con el Concilio Vaticano II? Las ciudades desbordadas por los inmigrantes provincianos que habitan en sus periferias, como Lima, son el escenario en el que los actores de los nuevos distritos construyen sus nuevas parroquias. En este ámbito, los factores culturales, ideológicos, políticos y sociales, junto a los cambios litúrgicos, condicionarán a la arquitectura eclesial, sus mensajes y significados. Esta investigación busca explicar cómo el Concilio Vaticano II y las ideologías de la segunda mitad del siglo XX condicionan la expresión del edificio eclesial en Lima Norte, visualizando su estrecha relación con la teología, la eclesiología y la liturgia; las misiones y pastorales; el marxismo; el espíritu ecuménico (los cristianos de otras religiones); la Iglesia cultural y la popular; la postmodernidad; y los discursos liberador y desarrollista.
[Abstract] This paper asks how religious architecture in the urban periphery of Lima, acquires an expression in line with Vatican II? Cities like Lima overwhelmed by the provincial immigrants living in urban peripheries, will be the scene in which the actors of the new districts built their new parishes. In this areas, cultural, ideological, political and social factors, together with the liturgical changes, will condition the religious architecture, his messages and meanings. This research seeks to establish as Second Vatican Council and ideologies of the late twentieth century in Lima Norte, determine the expression of the religious architecture, displaying their close relationship with theology, ecclesiology and liturgy; pastoral missions; marxism; the ecumenical spirit —christians of other faiths; Cultural and Popular Churches; the postmodernism; and liberationist and developmentalist discourses.
