Abstract
[Resumo] Os Centros de Interpretación son recursos para comunicar e valorizar o patrimonio, dirixidos a turistas que se achegan ao lugar no seu tempo de ocio. Son muitas as voces que os califican de despilfarro e problema; pola contra, pode tratarse dunha oportunidade para a dinamización local e o desenvolvemento turístico sostible. Neste artigo presentamos unha caracterización dos centros existentes en Galicia e da súa potencialidade, como o primeiro paso para unha planificación e coordinación estratégica do sector.
[Abstract] Interpretation centres are resources to communicate and give value to the heritage, aimed at tourists who come to the place in their leisure time. There are many voices which qualify them for waste and problem. On the contrary, it may be an opportunity for social promotion and the development of sustainable tourism. In this article, we present a characterization of the existing centres in Galicia and its potential as the first step in a strategic planning and coordination of the sector.
