Abstract
[Abstract] The globalisation of markets and the ever-increasing demands of customers have led industry to evolve towards what is known as Industry 4.0. SmartFactories have the ability to make decisions in real time, with the knowledge of how they are doing. A key concept to achieve these goals is the Digital Twin (DT). A DT is a virtual representation of reality throughout the different phases of a product's life cycle. Today there are several proprietary products on the market that combine proprietary applications that are rarely interchangeable or combinable. In addition to the cost of these products, the incompatibility of some with others is added to the cost of others, which is why an open platform that allows the generation of Digital Twins is considered necessary. This work proposes an open source platform and guidelines for the generation of DTs of stations that will be part of a production process.
