Abstract
[Resumo] Este artigo forma parte da 3ª edición de “Natura, us o abús? Llibre Blanc (2018-2019)”, un traballo colectivo e construtivo, un referente no mundo da xestión e conservación do patrimonio natural catalán. A súa primeira edición (1976) foi un texto precursor, que puxo enriba as cuestións ambientais e podería ser considerado o primeiro gran diagnóstico ambiental do país. No momento da publicación da segunda edición (1988), a educación ambiental (EA) só se falaba dunha década en Catalunya. Nos últimos anos houbo unha gran expansión de EA e tamén unha notable evolución e diversificación. O texto trata de ofrecer unha visión necesariamente incompleta e non exhaustiva da EA catalá e da súa evolución nas tres últimas décadas. Introduce referencias ao contexto internacional e aos diferentes modelos de EA, fai un balance do traballo realizado en diferentes áreas e, como resultado, identifica sesenta retos que suxiren áreas de mellora e camiños a seguir.
[Abstract] This article is part of the third edition of “Natura, us o abús? Llibre Blanc” (2018-2019), a collective and constructive work, a reference in the world of management and conservation of Catalan natural heritage. Its first edition (1976) was a forerunner text, which put on the table environmental issues and it could be considered the first major environmental diagnosis in the country. At the time when the second edition of this Whit Paper was published (1988), environmental education (EE) was a subject that had only been talked about for a decade in Catalonia. During these years, there has been a great expansion of the EE, as well as a remarkable evolution and diversification. This article attempts to offer a necessarily incomplete and not exhaustive panoramic of the Catalan EE and its evolution in the last three decades. We introduce it with references to the international context and to the different models of EE, we appraise the work done in different areas and, as a result, we identify sixty challenges that suggest aspects to improve on and paths to help us move forward.
