[Resumen] Desde la creación medieval de las Universidades hasta la Revolución Francesa, toda la docencia y la investigación se realiza en latín. El Siglo de las Luces va a imponer con carácter definitivo las lenguas nacionales relegando para siempre a la latina. Sin embargo, es en el Renacimiento cuando comienzan a introducirse los idiomas autóctonos como lenguas científicas sobre todo por la aparición de la imprenta y el triunfo de la reforma luterana.[Abstract] From the mediaeval creation of the Universities till the French Revolution, all the teaching and research was made in Latin.
