Abstract
[Resumen] En tiempos precolombinos, en el vasto territorio de los Andes se desarrolló una
de las culturas más grandes de la historia humana, el Imperio de los Incas. Se caracteriza-
ba por su saber avanzado en las diversas parcelas del conocimiento racional y natural, sis-
tematizado en un complejo esquema educativo orientado a satisfacer las necesidades vita-
les de las personas y a extender, desde un punto de vista teocrático, la cultura a las deno-
minadas "cuatro partes del mundo" (Tawantinsuyu).
[Abstract] In pre-Columbian times in the vast territory 01 the Andes, one 01 the greatest cultures of human history developed- the Inca Empire. It was characterised by its advanced wisdom regarding the diverse fields 01 ralional and natural knowledge. It was also organi- sed into a complex educational system aimed at meeting the vital needs 01 the people and spreading, from a theocratic point 01 view, the culture to the so-called "four corners of the world" (Tawantinsuyu).
